This week, Dr. Lankford visited the Town Council Meeting to share the latest updates on the new high school construction. He’ll keep the community in the loop every month at Board of Education meetings and each quarter with the Town Council.

’Twas the Night Before School at Pike Road, you see,
And not a backpack was missing, not one lost key.
The lunchboxes sat on the counters with care,
In hopes that a brand new school year soon would be there.

The learners were tucked in their beds nice and tight,
While dreams of new classrooms danced all through the night.
With pencils and folders and markers in rows,
They dreamed of new friendships and all they would know.

The hallways were shining, the floors freshly waxed,
The classrooms were cozy, supplies neatly stacked.
The teachers were buzzing, prepared and inspired,
Their hearts full of joy, refreshed and re-fired!

When out on the lawn there arose such a cheer,
“We’re ready!” they shouted, “The first day is here!”
The doors will swing open at seven o’clock,
With smiling faces ready to greet you at the sidewalk.

At Pike Road Elementary, there's magic ahead,
With stories to read and new words to be said.
With laughter and learning and memories to make,
And kindness and courage in every handshake.

So sleep tight, dear learners, tomorrow’s the day—
An adventure awaits in the best kind of way.
We can't wait to see you—get ready, get set—
For the best year yet, one we won’t soon forget!

‼️All returning students and new student registrations must be completed by 3:00pm on Friday, August 1st to receive a schedule to start back to school on August 7.

The earliest date students will be able to return if they have not registered by 3:00pm next Friday will be Monday, August 11.

📢The Pike Road Summer Stampede is almost here—August 1st & 2nd!

🤠 🐴 This student-led rodeo, hosted by our FFA Chapter and supported by the FFA Alumni, is the biggest fundraiser of the year for our Agriculture program. Proceeds help fund conferences, competitions, and learning opportunities for our FFA members.
