🇺🇸✨ After a great time learning in Birmingham, Flat Patriot headed back home to Pike Road Elementary to share all of the exciting learning with his buddies at school! 🏫💙✈️ When he arrived, Flat Patriot hung out with members of the Curriculum and Pacing Committee as they worked hard discussing, reviewing, and planning pacing for the upcoming school year. 📚✨ Flat Patriot quickly learned that while summer may be a break for learners, there is still so much professional learning, collaboration, and planning happening behind the scenes to make next school year even better for our PRES learners! 💡🤝 From hands-on science in Birmingham to curriculum planning back at school, Flat Patriot is taking it all in this summer and learning right alongside our amazing staff! 👀🇺🇸 📸 Keep the adventures coming! 🇺🇸✨ After an AMAZING adventure with Eleanor exploring national parks, wildlife, and logging thousands of miles on the road, Flat Patriot headed back to the airport because — you guessed it — another adventure was calling! ✈️🧳💙 This time, Flat Patriot traveled to Kansas to visit Mrs. Harris for some prairie fun and bison spotting! 🌾🦬☀️ While there, Flat Patriot explored Leavenworth, checking out the colorful painted bison sculptures around town before heading out on a road trip to the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve to see some real bison in their natural habitat! 🦬🌄✨ From painted bison to the real thing, Flat Patriot is learning something new and making unforgettable memories everywhere he goes! 🇺🇸✨ After walking 19,000 steps with Charlie in Nashville, Flat Patriot decided he had definitely earned a day of rest! 😴👟💙 Well… that was the plan until he got a call from Eleanor Williams saying, “Head to the airport — it’s time for a new adventure!” ✈️👀 Needless to say, Flat Patriot has learned that keeping a suitcase packed and ready to go is an absolute MUST! 🧳😂 This time, Flat Patriot headed to North Dakota to visit Theodore Roosevelt National Park, where the adventure was just getting started! 🏔️🌾 After that, he traveled to South Dakota to explore Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, and Badlands National Park during an incredible 4,300-mile road trip! 🚗✨ Along the way, Flat Patriot got to experience geology concepts we don’t often see here in Alabama and spotted countless wildlife, including bison, prairie dogs, wild horses, coyotes, turkey, mule deer, pronghorns, bighorn sheep, eagles, wild rabbits, chipmunks, and wild burros! 🦬🦅🐴🌄 From pageants and waterparks to national parks and wildlife adventures, Flat Patriot is learning something new everywhere he goes! As our district continues to strengthen opportunities for students and staff, we are pleased to share several leadership and staffing transitions resulting from the realignment of roles and responsibilities across the district. These changes include current team members taking on new assignments and responsibilities, along with a few new individuals joining our team to support existing district priorities. Each brings valuable experience, dedication, and a commitment to the important work taking place in our schools every day. 🇺🇸✨ When the pageant was over, Flat Patriot got a call from CK learner Charlie Tompkins saying, “It’s time to pack your bags!” 👀✈️🧳 Before he knew it, Flat Patriot was headed to Nashville, Tennessee for an unforgettable weekend at the Gaylord Opryland Resort! 🎶🏨☀️ Charlie made sure Flat Patriot experienced it all — from taking the Delta Riverboat Tour and learning about the history of the beautiful resort to spending 7 hours splashing and sliding at the SoundWaves Waterpark! 🌊🚤💦 And if that wasn’t enough adventure, Charlie shared that they clocked 19,000 steps because they truly did it all! 🤣👟✨ From backstage pageants to riverboats and waterparks, Flat Patriot is making the most of every summer memory! 🇺🇸✨ After singing his heart out at the concert, Flat Patriot heard that some boys were playing ball in a tournament… and if there’s one thing Flat Patriot loves, it’s baseball! ⚾☀️🇺🇸 Without missing a beat, Flat Patriot headed to the ball field ready to play. He was a little sad to find out he couldn’t join the lineup, but he quickly forgot all about it when he spotted some familiar PRES faces — C2 learners Tucker Gardner, Jackson Stewart, and Owen Patterson! 💙🧢 Flat Patriot was thrilled to cheer on their Montgomery American Pre-Minors Mixed All-Star Team, who went undefeated and won their State Tournament this weekend! 🏆🎉⚾ What an incredible accomplishment! From ice experiments and cool snow cones to a LEGO building challenge, our learners stayed busy exploring, creating, and learning all day long. 🧊🍧🧱✨ The fun didn’t stop there!
