Lauren Breeding graduated from the University of Alabama in 2003 with a teaching degree in K-12 Collaborative Special Education and continued down her educational path at Auburn Montgomery by obtaining a Master’s degree in 2006 in Early Childhood Special Education and an Education Specialist degree in 2015 in K-6 Collaborative Special Education. Lauren was named District V Elementary Teacher of the Year for the 2013-2014 school year and progressed to the "Sweet 16" finalists for 2013-14 Teacher of the Year. She has experienced working in schools designed for the mentally and physically handicapped, as well as classrooms designed to meet the needs of children with Autism. She has also been a resource/inclusion teacher and a self-contained teacher, helping students reach educational goals. Lauren has been with Pike Road Schools since its inception in 2015. She helped develop and implement the P.O.P.P.I.E. program, which is an inclusive preschool class for special needs children and typically developing children. Lauren is currently still with the P.O.P.P.I.E. program teaching and serving the special education and typically developing students.
