Kimberly Creel began her teaching career in 1997 after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Auburn University of Montgomery with a BS in Special Education K-12th grade. While attending Auburn University of Montgomery she was nominated for student of the year by the department of Education. In 1997 , during an internship, she was hired by Tallassee board of education. There she began teaching at Southside Middle school in a self contained classroom and inclusion classes. She also taught ELL classes, specializing in a reading program for ELL. Among other accomplishments, Mrs. Creel began a Beta club at SMS. In 2003-2004 school year Mrs. Creel moved to Tallassee Elementary school to teach a self contained class and a preschool class for special needs children. She later developed a successful inclusive preschool for special needs children and typically developing children. In 2016-2017 she was hired by Pike Road school board and currently teaches a self contained class at PRES and PRMS.
