Principal's Corner

PRES families,

It is a great honor and privilege of mine to serve in my second year as the principal of Pike Road

Elementary School. I look forward to partnering with learners, lead learners, and parents. It is in

this spirit that I want to welcome you to the Pike Road Elementary School (PRES) website!

Here, we hope to provide a snapshot of what it is like to be a part of the Patriot family.

We are into our fourth year here at the founding campus of the Pike Road School System

(PRS)! We are located in the Town of Pike Road in East Montgomery County. This year we are

home to roughly 850 Kindergarten through Community 4 learners as our Community 5 and 6

learners have been relocated to the Historic Campus and our learners in Communities 8

through 11 are now at the newly-acquired Georgia Washington Campus.

Here at Pike Road Elementary School (PRES), we are committed to the PRS mission to create

a culture of intellectual curiosity where students have ownership over their learning and they

are inspired to think, innovate, and create. We are a standards-based, learner-centered

environment. Our goal is to design meaningful educational experiences with and for our learners. We use

innovative assessment and reporting to communicate specific areas of excellence or needed

growth for each learner.

I encourage all parents to get involved with our school by joining our PTSA. We have a very

active PTSA that benefits our school in many ways. They volunteer their time to help our lead

learners, provide opportunities for our learners, and fund special initiatives each year. Father

figures, check out our Watch Dog Dads program to see how you can get involved in our PTSA

and spend a day in our school. We believe parents are valuable partners and members of the

school community!

Our focus at Pike Road Elementary School is to help each child become a better learner and a

better person. If we can do that, all of our learners will have the tools they need to succeed.

Please take some time to navigate our website to find out more about PRES. If you are

interested in learning more about our school or joining one of our scheduled tours please

contact us at 334.420.5310.

Sincerely,

Ryan Kendall
