Natalie began her career in education 8 years ago. Natalie started her education journey with a degree in Special Education. She realized she wanted to meet the needs of every learner and received a degree in general education. After working with high ability learners in the classroom, their needs tugged at her heartstrings as well and she received a Master’s degree in Gifted and Talented Education.

Before Pike Road Schools became a school system, Natalie taught third and fourth grade as a Gifted Specialist. Eager to spread gifted practices into all classrooms, Natalie joined Pike Road Schools as a third grade lead learner in 2015. In 2016 Natalie transitioned into the role of Instructional Partner to partner with our lead learners to build high quality learning experiences that every child would benefit from. Natalie has also served as an Enrichment Lead Learner for Pike Road Schools and transitioned to Gifted and Enrichment Coordinator in 2018.

As a resident of Pike Road, Natalie is excited about the future of Pike Road Schools. Go Patriots!

Best Quotes:

--Ken Robinson, The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything

There will always be someone who can't see your worth. Don't let it be you

--Mel Robbins, The 5 Second Rule: Transform Your Life, Work, and Confidence with Everyday Courage

I believe that at the very root of our humanity is a passion to create value with heart, to work alongside others who care, and to make a difference. I believe that each of us has something of value to offer -- all 7.5 billion of us. While not everyone will, anyone can. The fact that today so many people do not is not a sign that they lack capacity, but instead it's a sign that the scaffolding and structures need to be built to let them do so. This is society's problem, and its opportunity.
